Exeggutor 1st Edition - Jungle Set 35/64 (Uncommon)

Era / Decade

1999 (Released June 1999). Clues: 1999 Wizards copyright date and '1st Edition' stamp.

Material

Cardstock paper with glossy finish; standard WotC era construction.

Condition

Good (MP - Moderately Played). Visible surface scratching, edge whitening on the top right corner, and minor staining/residue on the yellow borders. The centering is slightly off-top to bottom.

Demand Level

Strong. Vintage 1st Edition cards from the original sets (Base, Jungle, Fossil) have consistent demand from millennial collectors.

Resale Value

Estimated Resale Value

$5.00 (Low/Heavily Played) - $12.00 (Mid/Current Condition) - $35.00+ (High/Near Mint Grade).

Estimated Retail Value

$3.99 - $5.99 (The original MSRP of a Jungle booster pack in 1999 was $2.99).

Comparable Sales

Recent 1st Edition Jungle Exeggutor cards in 'Lightly Played' to 'Good' condition sell for $10-$15. PSA 9 (Mint) versions sell for $100+, but this card is not in that condition.

Description

A vintage 1st Edition Exeggutor from the 1999 Pokémon Jungle expansion. This 'Stage 1' Grass-type card features artwork by Kagemaru Himeno. As a 1st Edition printing, it features the 'Edition 1' stamp on the left side, indicating it was part of the very first production run of the set.

Key Features

1st Edition Stamp; Jungle set symbol (flower); highly sought-after Wizards of the Coast era nostalgia; uncommon rarity with moderate competitive play history.

Authenticity Indicators

High confidence. Correct font kerning for '80 HP'; the 1st Edition stamp is opaque and correctly placed; the '©1999 Wizards' text is present; green saturation of the background matches authentic Jungle prints.

Flaws to Note

Significant whitening on the back edges (implied by front corner wear); surface scratches in the art box; dark spots/dirt on the yellow bottom border. These flaws prevent it from being a 'Professional Grading' candidate.

Selling Guide

Where to Sell

eBay (best for reaching global collectors), TCGPlayer (highest volume for card gamers), or Mercari (good for quick sales).

Selling Tips

Take clear photos of the back of the card on a dark surface to show edge wear clearly. Use keywords '1st Edition', 'WotC', '1999', and 'Vintage'. Ship inside a plastic penny sleeve and a rigid top-loader to prevent bending.
