A circulated 1943 Jefferson Nickel from the World War II era. Known as a 'War Nickel,' these were struck with silver to preserve nickel for the war effort. Features Thomas Jefferson on the obverse and Monticello on the reverse (not pictured). Identifying feature is the large mint mark (P, D, or S) located above the dome of Monticello.
