Description
A single Waterford crystal champagne flute in the 'Lismore Essence' pattern. This modern update to the classic Lismore pattern features a more slender, elongated bowl and a thinner stem. It retains the signature diamond and wedge cuts at the base of the bowl, transitioning into smooth, clear glass at the top.
Key Features
High brand recognition; desirable 'Essence' variation which is more modern than original Lismore; authentic lead crystal ring when tapped.
Authenticity Indicators
Waterford hallmark (acid-etched logo) is typically found on the bottom of the foot; high clarity and weight. Confidence: High.
Flaws to Note
A large chip is present on the rim. In crystal, rim chips significantly devalue the item as they make the glass unsafe for drinking and are expensive to professionally grind down.
Selling Guide
Where to Sell
Facebook Marketplace for local 'as-is' pickup, or eBay as a 'Replacements' piece for someone willing to repair it.
Selling Tips
Be extremely transparent about the chip in the first line of the description. It is likely more valuable as a 'prop' or for someone who does glass restoration rather than a standard collector.
