Description
This is a 'Shadowless' variant of the Base Set Jynx (31/102). Unlike the more common unlimited version, this card lacks the drop shadow on the right side of the character art box and features a thinner font for the HP and copyright dates (including '99'). It is an Uncommon card featuring artwork by Ken Sugimori.
Key Features
Shadowless variant is rarer than Unlimited; contains the '99' year in the copyright string; highly collectible for Base Set completionists.
Authenticity Indicators
Correct font styles for the HP and attacks; 'Shadowless' design features (no shadow, '99' copyright); authentic blue/swirl back pattern (internal); cardstock thickness and light transparency. High confidence in authenticity.
Flaws to Note
Visible scratch/crease across the holofoil/illustration window; whitening on the back edges (presumed based on front edge wear); centering is slightly off-top to bottom.
Selling Guide
Where to Sell
eBay (best for single cards), TCGPlayer (market standard for players), or Mercari (good for bundles/lots).
Selling Tips
Always use the keyword 'Shadowless' in the title to differentiate it from the Unlimited 1999 print. Take clear photos of the back of the card to show whitening. Ship in a penny sleeve and top-loader inside a plain white envelope (PWE) with cardboard protection or a bubble mailer for tracking.
