Pokémon TCG Ultra Rare Card Lot featuring Superior Energy Retrieval (Gold), Pikachu ex (Promo), Zapdos ex (Full Art), and Magnezone VSTAR
The Pokémon Company / Nintendo · Collectibles & Antiques > Trading Card Games

Era / Decade
Early 2020s (Modern Era). Superior Energy Retrieval is from Paldea Evolved (2023), Pikachu ex is a Black Star Promo (2024), Zapdos ex is from 151 (2023), and Magnezone VSTAR is from Lost Origin (2022).
Material
Printed cardstock with holographic foil finishes and etched textures on the Superior Energy Retrieval and Zapdos ex cards.
Condition
Good to Very Good. While the cards are in sleeves, the binder pages appear worn and there is visible surface scratching and dust on the plastic sleeves. The cards themselves must be inspected out of the sleeve for 'whitening' on the back edges and surface scratches to hit 'Near Mint'.
Demand Level
Strong. The '151' set (Zapdos) is currently one of the most sought-after modern sets. Pikachu items sell consistently year-round.
Resale Value
Estimated Resale Value
$15.00 - $25.00 combined. Individual breakdowns: Superior Energy Retrieval Gold (~$5-7), Pikachu ex SVP106 (~$1-2), Zapdos ex 192/165 (~$10-13), Magnezone VSTAR (~$1).
Estimated Retail Value
$16.00 - $20.00 (Based on the price of 4 individual booster packs or a collection box).
Comparable Sales
Zapdos ex 192/165 regularly closes on eBay for $11-$14 in NM condition. Gold Superior Energy Retrieval has fluctuated between $4 and $8 on TCGPlayer recently.
Description
A lot of 4 highly collectible modern Pokémon cards. Includes Superior Energy Retrieval Hyper Rare (Gold Etched) 277/193, Zapdos ex Full Art Ultra Rare 192/165 from the popular 151 set, Pikachu ex SVP106 Promo, and Magnezone VSTAR 057/196. These cards feature vibrant artwork, holographic finishes, and are essential for both players and collectors.
Key Features
The Zapdos ex from the '151' set is high demand due to nostalgia. The Gold Superior Energy Retrieval is a 'Hyper Rare' and holds value for competitive players. Pikachu is the mascot and always has a liquid market.
Authenticity Indicators
High confidence. Correct font kerning, specific set symbols (Paldea Evolved, 151, Lost Origin), and the distinct diagonal etched texture on the Gold card and Zapdos are difficult to replicate in fakes.
Flaws to Note
Plastic sleeves show heavy scuffing which may have transferred to the card surfaces. Must check for 'centering' (symmetry of borders) and silvering on the edges.
Selling Guide
Where to Sell
TCGPlayer (best for individual accuracy), eBay (best for the lot), or Mercari. Local card shops (LCS) will offer 50-60% of value in cash.
Selling Tips
Remove from the dirty binder page and photography individual cards against a dark, clean background. Use 'PWE' (Plain White Envelope) shipping with a top-loader for low-value cards, or 'eBay Standard Envelope' for tracking under $20.
